Hello Friends and Family!
While I was emailing home last week a guy named Arsenio was talking us, we set up a return appointment. I could hardly understand him, at first I thought he told me his name was Hulk but then I had him spell out his name... he creeps on the Brewton sisters too. we had to break into our house that night because we locked ourselves out. on Tuesday we went to the appointment with Arsenio and we talk about the restoration. the lesson went good and I've diffidently learned to be guided by the spirit in lessons because without the spirit guiding its just "a normal lesson". A new family moved to Brewton and they are super cool. they are the Bakers and they are what Brewton needs right now! they have one daughter living at home right now and she is 14! we are working very closely with a man named Mitch Odom. he is so cool he has a baptismal date for December 7th and he's so excited! he takes us out to dinner and really is just a loving man! on Wednesday we biked 24 miles and got lost somewhere in the sticks. after biking forever we had a great appointment with Richard McEwen. he's smart as a whip and knows the bible inside and out. I don't know the bible at all so just sat there and said things when I needed to. on Thursday we met with a man named Billy reed, he is sister Flanders son and is cool but a little different. he was wearing a sweet Hawaiian shirt with a sick jacket with leather tassels after that we went to a baptism for this little girl names serenity. her dad baptized her and it was special. so Friday I woke up with this good feeling that today was going to be the day! we picked up 1 new gator who's name was Sims. he's a big black dude that's legit. we had another appointment with Arsenio and he was drunk during the lesson and offered us a beer, we accepted...we talked to so many people that day and had a lot of success. on Saturday we had a chili cook off all day but Sunday came along and the Morley family didn't show... the only one that showed from the Morley family was little serenity! she is so great!!! I gave a talk on Sunday about charity. it went good. it was the first time writing a talk without my dad looking over it. this week was great though! now my testimony has grown so much since I've been out on my mission. I left Laguna with enough faith to get me on a mission. before I knew so little but I acted on faith and chose to go on a mission. I took that step of faith and acted on my fathers actions of serving a mission. I saw the happiness it brought my family but I never knew why. I now can truly say that I have a firm testimony of the restored gospel. I know that the gospel is what brought happiness to my families life. I can promise each of you that if you act in faith the lord will be there for you through your journey and I can say that because I have seen him work miracles the past 15 weeks I've been serving! I love you guys!
