The Christmas Spirit

Hello,

This week was great! I thought Christmas on a mission would be the worst thing ever but I was wrong, AGAIN!!! In fact I felt closer to home this Christmas than ever before. Serving the Lord strengthens family's and I've witnessed this blessing being however many miles away from home. The gospel of Jesus Christ really does bless families.

This week I got to Skype home and see my family for the first time in 5 months. It was the greatest Christmas gift yet! one thing that wasn't so great was the after taste it left in my mouth. good thing I knew exactly what to do in this situation. I Asked heavenly father for help and prayed for comfort then opened the scriptures. well I did just that and I've never had a question answered so immediately in my life! the spirit lead me to read a chapter in D&C that pretty much said my family will be watched over and blessed for my service as a missionary and right when I read that the spirit hit me like a wall. I couldn't help but smile and soak in the feeling!

my testimony of prayer and scripture study has grown tremendously because of this experience! My payer was answered through the scriptures!!!
