Rabies!- July 7, 2014

Dear Family,

I found out that I am getting transferred to Defuniak Springs Florida aka Dafunkyshack. I am pretty sure it is a small backwoods. This week flew by. We pretty much got worked like mules. "oh I am moving tomorrow. I will just call the Elders! It is not like they are out all day serving people. My gun safe on the 2nd story is not that heavy." Anyways. Tuesday we had district meeting and then saw the Hairs. We also saw Chyann and she prayed about her baptismal date and felt like when she received all of the lessons she will feel ready to be baptized. On Wednesday we met with a baptist lady that tried to convert us, but didn't understand her doctrine. Thursday I got bit by a dog with rabies. How do you know if you have rabies? I have been foaming out of the mouth lately and I don't know if that is a sign or not....Just kidding. But this Chihuahua weighed like 20 pounds and attacked me. On the fourth of July we went with 2nd ward to a part-members house and grilled, ate some food, and played volleyball. I was right along the bayou and kids were going swimming and on jet skis. I felt left out. After the party we came home and played guitar on the roof as I watched some fireworks. Saturday was one of the best days I have had in a while. We started out by helping this lady move, which took almost all day. After I was so pooped. The Lord gave me strength to go out and see people, and by that I mean we stole the car from the sisters. While biking to the sisters my pants got caught in the chain and exploded the leg of my pants. The Lord knew what I was up to. We went and saw the Albas, and shared some scriptures with them. They also fed us. After the Albas we went and contacted a referral named Chris Washington. We had the best lesson with him. The spirit was guiding the whole lesson and I would just open my mouth and words would flow perfectly from my mouth. We then went and saw the sheets. Adam was the only on home so we got to talk with him alone. Adam is a less active by the way. We found out that he just got out of jail for cooking drugs. We shared a message with him on the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He didn't feel ready to pray yet but after my companions prayer he was a little emotional. I want to testify that the spirit can touch you no matter how far off the path you are. Not only am I put in these peoples lives for a reason but just as important they are in my life and have strengthened my testimony. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior. Through his grace and mercy we can be saved and have the potential for exhalation. The Gospel of Jesus Christ can save lives. I love you guys!
