Hey Ya'll,
Monday was sweet. we had a lesson with this guy named mike nickerson, he works on houses for a member in the ward but hes a cool guy. and has had all the discussions but has never made it to baptism. we talked about the importance of the book of Mormon and yeah. oh yeah I like to write my letter fast and short so yall don't get bored but Tuesday we had district meeting and we played volleyball in a sand court we have right outside out apartment with all our district and they kept calling me cali boy and making fun of me but they are just jealous because they all live in Utah. then we had dinner with the schleomers. sister shleomers boy friend was there and the spirit was so strong. we testified about the book of Mormon and the truth and we did the power knee!!! which means we knelt down and had him say the prayer to ask if the things we talked about were true. Wednesday was the freaking funniest day. we biked a good 5 miles to elder adams getting SOOOO MUCH DOG POOP on his tire and him actually popping his tire!!!! so we were stranded. it was sweet because out of the unknown this kid comes with his friend and askes if we need help. turns out he is a member of the mobile ward and yeah.. so he gave us a ride home and we told his friend about the church and the kid told us that he wasn't sure if he wanted to go on a mission but hopefully we changed his mind. haha. there was so much poop and his tire and he also got stung by fire ants again. so we cleaned up and went to bom class. the dees brought pizza and brother wrighter brought his wife. I love her! and after the class we had a lesson with an investigator named fred. he read the book of Mormon but wanted to know more and denton was in the lesson too. denton is his fellowshipper but the lesson went good and we hopefully got him. Thursday we mowed sister battons lawn and turns out she has a major crush on elder adams. she probably 80 years old but we worked on her yard and I accidently cut down her rose bush haha then we had dinner at the constantines. one of the few normal familys in the ward. on Thursday we went to contact a media referral. We got a return appointment with her for Tuesday at 1:00. then we went and took some sweet pictures and drove thru the hood again! oh yeah and the food bank went good lavern read a little but we don't think shes to interested. Saturday we walked 10 miles in the rain to trackt and get rejected but on the way we met a lady named stacy who accepted a book of Mormon and said that "she loves jesus" but yeah that's everything!!!! so let me just say that the book of Mormon is sooo sweet!!!! everyone who is reading this better go and read 2 nephi chapter 29 and keep in mind the south and how the people here love the bible and nothing else!!!! man what would we do without the book of Mormon and our church? I would be lost that's for sure!!! I love the book of Mormon now and I love you all and ask you to please keep the Theodore ward in your prayers because they need it!
