Dear family,
This week I went on exchanges with the zone leaders. We went out and contacted some people, while contacting we met this black kid who was about seven years old, his name was legend. He taught us how to 'Nay Nay'. You should've seen this kid dance, it was probably the sickest thing ive ever seen. As of right now the work here in Ozark is pretty slow. Elder Parsons and I are contact people to find new investigators. We have a baptismal date with a guy named Tommy Gary. As for investigators there is really nothing so we are starting from scratch. I still haven't gotten to meet a lot of the members here due to the fact that we had General Conference last week, and this week was Stake Conference. We get fed every night here. There is a sister in the branch and part of her calling is to organize meals for Elder Parsons at I every night with either members or less actives! That makes things really nice because I'm not a good cook. I thought I would be getting sick of cereal by now but it never gets old.
In my recent studies of the scriptures I came across a very cool verse in Isaiah 55:1, "Lo, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price." The question came to mind "how can you buy something without money?" The lords kingdom is free without charge but we have to put forth the effort and be obedient in order to partake of the milk and wine that Isaiah was talking about. I love the scripture and I hold them dear to my heart. I know the lord speaks through prophets. He has given us a way, now will we proceed to move forward?
I love you guys!
Elder Logan Kimball
