Dear family,
Things are going good here in Ozark. The work is really starting to pick up. We have found a few new investigators and have been focusing a lot on family history. We have been meeting with Tommy Gary, an investigator that has a set baptism/confirmation date. He came to church this Sunday and the service was great. This is something you worry a lot about as a missionary.
I had a really cool experience this week. When I got to my new area of Ozark, AL, my new companion Elder Parsons told me all about this solid investigator that also has a baptism/confirmation date. Unfortunately, following day she texted us and told us she wasn't to into the Mormon thing anymore. As expected we were very disappointed but we prayed that she would have a change of heart. Early this week I felt impressed we needed to go to downtown Ozark. While we were walking around I approached this random lady and began a conversation. Elder parsons turns to me and whispers, “Elder Kimball that's Paula Watson the investigator I told you about!" I couldn't understand him so I continued teaching her and I felt the spirit so strong. I had no idea I was talking to the lady that dropped us a few weeks before. She explained to us that this day was the 2nd year anniversary of her husband passing. I felt impressed to tell her that her husband led us to her on this dark day. We had the most spiritual conversation with her and expressed the fact that the Lord needs her on his side. Through this experience I’ve seen the spirit work through me! I testify that if we follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost the Lord will work miracles! I know this to be true!
